Below is a brief description of the types of massage available at Wiregrass Massage and Bodywork. A typical massage may include any one or more of those labeled 'included.'

​Swedish Massage
​Included​

This is the most relaxing form of full body massage. It consists of long, flowing strokes designed to release tension, improve circulation, reduce muscle toxicity, increase flexibility and relieve stress. f
​Facial & Scalp Massage
Included & Select Options*

Using Acupressure to target tension areas, facial and scalp massage can help reduce the incidence of tension headache, improve hair and skin condition, and relieve eyestrain. *A full facial massage is only available as a 30 minute targeted massage.
​Deep Tissue Massage​​
Included

This form of full body massage uses more pressure to reach the deeper tissues. This is especially beneficial in relieving chronic muscle tension, ehnancing mobility and improving muscle endurance.
​Trigger Point Therapy
Included

Often called muscle knots, trigger points are palpable nodes that can refer pain to different parts of the body. Trigger Point Therapy relieves pain by targeting the original source of pain, the trigger point itself.
​​Myofascial Release
Included

Myofascia is the dense, tough tissue that covers and infiltrates all muscle. With overuse and strain it can become constricted and tight. Myofascial Release seeks to stretch this tightened material, allowing the muscle to relax and blood to flow more freely.
​Deep Heat Treatment
​​Available as an additional service.

Deep Heat Treatment can be applied either to the back, the legs or the arms to increase blood flow, reduce the amount of lactic acid in the muscles and promote healing after exercise or muscle over-use. Using Prossage Heat Therapy and Biofreeze Cooling Gel, the effects last long after the initial treatment.
Amber's Clay Foot Scrub
Available as an additional service.

Amber's clay Foot Scrub with Apricot Seeds exfoliates, softens and revives the skin using Algae, Red Vine, Arnica, Horse Chestnut, Ivy and Aloe. Peppermint Oil is added to stimulate blood flow and create an intense cooling effect.
Infrared Sauna

Infrared saunas warm the body without heating the air. Infrared heat penetrates the tissues with no burning; it improves circulation, promotes relaxation, burns calories and reduces blood pressure.
